CLAROSCURO
One thing that has always fascinated me are the REALISM PAINTINGS out of the Barroccan period. The discovery of the 'claroscuro' technique, which literally showed the differences in light and darkness, made the paintings look extremely realistic.
The humans were drawn/painted in a very physically human way which resulted that the overall atmosphere of the painting severely increased.
They seem to move in such delicate ways, expressing their inner feelings and hidden longings.
This incredible source of inspiration was the starting point of a new ballet where 6 gorgeous dancers leave their painting behind to move gracefully into a NEW WORLD.
