CONTIGO

-Nuñez made her choreographic debut with ‘Contigo' a work which most certainly will not be her ‘swan song’. because this lady knows exactly what she is about. Contigo is an extended duet composed of several vignettes which together trace the path of a complicated and passionate relationship. It simply exuded professional class; emotions of tenderness, passion, anger and reconciliation were superbly expressed in an original and powerfully musical fashion -.

- Very nice was the choreography of Altea Nuñez 'Absolutio' . It's a nice challenge to work with these young dancers. She lets you look at motion with a lot of nuances, movement that involves strength and tension. The soundscape of sound artist Hans Zimmer creeps under the skin and sometimes creates an intriguing atmosphere. Altea Nuñez has studied the music composition thoroughly. The dancers move in group as one body in an impressive sonorous environment. A choreography with ‘pure blood’ danced as driving force -.

STARDUST

- ....the dancers are crouched in a circle - one by one they arise like the petals of a flower opening at the first rays of the sun. They are mesmerised by the light. The dance language suggests a palette of emotions and in its use of space, the stuff of which dreams are made.Much is happening but each detail is perfectly worked out. It is a choreography which glows with intensity, the details lovingly polished like a fine gem, and which demonstrates a real choreographic power -

Altea Nunez has established herself firmly on the list of European emerging young choreographers to watch.
Nunez didn’t spare her young dancers; pushing them to the max as they tackled her searingly organic movement. Her dance forms seem to emerge from somewhere deep within and extend beyond the physical norms. Nunez’ spatial inventiveness is exceptional; out of a sculptural mass of dancers, solos emerged and duets formed seamlessly.
This is a work which remains etched in the mind, long after the last notes faded.......
